Winter 2016 at Castle Farm

This will be the first winter without sheep in recent years as the flock was sold in the summer. Hopefully, this will allow for some well-earned rest and recuperation after the autumn exertions.

The Apple harvest was a success and the last load was sent at the beginning of December and now, aside from looking after the cattle, which are now indoors to protect them from the weather, there isn’t a lot to do around the farm.

Here’s to a nice Christmas, the benefits of which will be seen in next year’s crop.
