Autumn 2016 at Castle Farm
Autumn on the farm is one of the busiest times of the year; it’s harvest time for our biggest enterprise, Potatoes, which are all destined for the shelves of Tesco. We’re busy preparing for Magners Cider Apple harvest and, weather permitting, planting the winter cereals for next year’s crop.
Luckily, this year we’ve been blessed with some stunning weather and as well as an excellent potato crop, the ceereals have gone in well and are already looking promising.
As always with farming, chickens are never counted until they hatch!back to news
